Step 3.

Risk Assessment Promotion

We first work with you to communicate with staff regarding the importance and benefits of participating in the risk assessment to maximise staff engagement. We typically achieve staff participation rates in the 70-95% ranges as a result of this process.

Psychosocial Risk Management Assessment (PRMA) Completion

Staff conveniently complete our 10min PRMA via smart links or the mibo app to assess the effectiveness of current control measures/well-being intervention efforts, and establish a baseline for potential ongoing measurement. The PRMA has been developed based on our belief that just like a house well-built relies on great foundations, an effective risk management journey crucially rests on the foundations of a rigorous and balanced initial analysis. Here’s some key features:

Key Predictors: We incorporate critical lead indicators – Psychosocial Safety Climate (PSC) which is a well-researched predictor of future staff health and work outcomes; and Respect at Work, our evidence-informed measure of your organisation’s climate of harmful behaviour prevention and response.

Psychosocial Work Factors: Our 24 work factors provide nuanced insights by separating factors such as Job Demands to avoid the data blending that occurs when multifaceted factors are grouped together. We also examine unique factors like Productivity Hindrances which often contributes to perceived work overload, and Counterproductive Workplace Behaviour which pose risks to both organisational health and reputation.

Follow-Up for High-Priority Areas: For factors like Trauma and Harmful Behaviours, our dynamic follow-up questions capture de-identified details regarding the nature and source of hazard exposure.

Key Work Outcomes: We also uniquely calculate direct costs linked to the psychosocial environment via the assessment of Burnout and job-stress-related Absenteeism, Presenteeism, and Turnover Intent. This helps communicate job stress related financial costs and control measure ROI to boost leadership buy-in.

Inclusive, Balanced Risk Assessment: Based on work factor identification responses, individuals are placed into either support or hazard groups for each factor. The risk assessment is then conveniently completed via tailored follow-up questions that captures perceived mental health and well-being harms and benefits.
